Collection: Labradorite

I am Labradorite

Labradorite is perhaps best known for its beautiful flashes of red, green, orange, blue, and sometimes even purple. The Inuit people have a legend that an ancient warrior came upon the beautiful stones while walking across the shore of what is now known as Labrador, Canada. After a strong blow from his spear, he released the light of the aurora borealis from some of the stones and into the sky. The huge burst of light became what we now know as the Northern Lights. However, according to legend, he was not able to release all of the light from the stones leaving us with the labradorite of today!
