I am Onyx.

Onyx has been used throughout time for a variety of purposes. As you can imagine, such a popular stone has many myths and legends. According to Greek Mythology, the god Cupid was once trimming Venus’s nails by the bank of a river. The clippings fell into the water and soon sank to the bottom. These clippings then transformed into the onyx we have today!
